Get your dream tech job sorted painlessly with Jobbio HIGHER

By Anna Schaverien 14 September 2017
Summary

Not your average career fair.

Jobbio HIGHER is a tech career event you’ll actually want to go to.

We didn’t think that existed either.

But on 28 September, you can hear from some of the biggest tech names in London, participate in skills workshops, and even apply for jobs on the spot.

And best of all, it’s free.

The careers fairs you had at university are nothing like Jobbio HIGHER.

Instead, hiring managers from 60 tech companies and startups, including Expedia, Starling Bank, Hudl and Shazam, will be there to chat to you.

If you find a good fit, you can even apply for a job with them before the evening’s over using Jobbio’s clever app.

Get clued up

Sometimes we all need that push to apply for a new role, or move up.

Samantha Hepburn, the founder of Find a Tech Job, will give you that nudge in the right direction during her workshop on taking charge of your career.

Another session, with SurveyMonkey’s Shilpa Apte, will teach you why soft skills are crucial for getting your dream role.

And learn from the master in Clement Haider’s class on creating a product that people love.

As Shazam’s principal project manager, he’ll give you the secrets behind why the app has been downloaded over 1 billion times.

Meet the speakers

But it’s not all about recruitment. On the night, you’ll be able to hear from people leading innovation in tech.

There’ll be a talk from Harsh Sinha, VP of engineering at TransferWise, the startup for transferring money abroad that’s valued at over $1bn.

Revolut’s chief of mobile, Edward Cooper, will join senior experts from health tech giant FitBit and interior design platform Houzz to discuss how to attract your target market using data to better attract and convert users.

And find out why chaos is good for creativity with speakers from Nexmo, a communications platform, mobile-only bank Starling, and money transfer startup WorldRemit.

Roll up, roll up, get your tickets now
