But a great publication can only be as strong as its team – and we want to make The Memo even better.

For 2017, that means hiring an incredible new member of staff.

We’re looking for a new Office Manager-come-Executive Assistant to be the glue that holds our team together.

You’ll shape us as we grow, support our stakeholders, and come up with wonderful new ways we can improve. We want someone smart, savvy, and keen to get stuck-in.

Office Manager / Executive Assistant Role

The Memo is the online publication with the mission to Make the Future More Human.

Founded by experienced tech journalist Alex Wood, the publication is backed by some of the smartest money in publishing and finance.

Launched in April 2015, we attract over 500,000 readers every month who trust The Memo as the guide to future trends impacting both their professional and personal lives.

Based in Soho, the heart of London’s creative and media scene, we’re growing fast and looking for exceptional talent. We have 5 people on staff and will expand rapidly in 2017 including opening in New York.


Do you love bringing order to chaos, ticking things off the list and can you make the impossible possible? Are you unflappable in a crisis and willing to get stuck in? Do you have a charming manner and a will of steel?

We’re looking for that perfect person to come and transform our senior team. You’ll be at the heart of the business and play a huge part in the company’s growth. You’ll be part juggler, part mind reader and delighted by making a positive difference.

This will be a serious role with opportunities for future growth.


  • Working for multiple stakeholders
  • Extensive diary management and complex travel arrangements over varied time zones including media appearances on TV & radio
  • Mix of business and personal support
  • Inbox management
  • Project management support for longer term projects
  • Extensive support duties and research projects


  • Mid-level Executive Assistant/Office management experience
  • Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Organised multitasker with great attention-to-detail
  • Proactive problem solver, capable of thinking outside the box
  • Great communication skills & excellent written English
  • Experience with everyday business functions
  • Openness to new ideas, tools and ways of working
  • Flexibility to deal with last-minute surprises
