Are you being paid what you’re worth? Find out now

Glassdoor is demystifying your paycheck.

One of the biggest challenges of the working world is trying to figure out if you’re being paid what you’re worth.

Most people have no idea if the people working around them are paid the same as they are, or how much more they could earn elsewhere.

That’s why Glassdoor has created Know Your Worth, which is still in beta and only available in the US for now.

Glassdoor is a popular job search site that also includes employee reviews for thousands of businesses.

Based on millions of salary reports that people have uploaded Glassdoor can crunch the data for your current job and work out if you’re earning what you should be.

What is market rate?

They can also show the changing salaries of different jobs over time, whether wages for your current position are rising or falling in the wider job market.

“Most people think that salary changes every couple years, but the truth is that salary can change every single day, demand for jobs changes every single day all of which we are in a position to see with Know Your Worth,” said Robert Hohman, co-founder and CEO of Glassdoor.

For example, a San Francisco-based software developer with two years of experience commands an average salary of $140,000 so if you find yourself missing out, maybe it’s time to ask for a raise?

As mentioned for now Know Your Worth is only available in the US for now, but we hope it goes global soon as it’s another great tool to bring the kind of transparency to the workplace that workers need.
