We’re looking for a new Media Sales Executive to keep The Memo brand at the top of every client’s lists. We want someone who is creative, savvy, and great under pressure.

Media Sales Executive

The Memo is the online publication with the mission to Make the Future More Human.

Founded by experienced tech journalist Alex Wood, the publication is backed by some of the smartest money in publishing and finance.

Launched in April 2015, we attract over 500,000 readers every month who trust The Memo as the guide to future trends impacting both their professional and personal lives.

Based in Soho, the heart of London’s creative and media scene, we’re growing fast and looking for exceptional talent. We have 6 people on staff and are expanding rapidly this year including opening in New York.


Are you an extraordinary sales professional? Are you willing to drive maximum advertising revenues from key media agencies and direct clients in the UK?

As The Memo‘s Media Sales Executive, you’ll use your entrepreneurial and creative flair to sell fresh advertising products and campaigns across all our platforms.

This is a fast-paced, demanding role in a fast-growing business where you’ll be encouraged to flex your creative mind.

This will be a serious role with opportunities for future growth.


  • Working with our editorial team to build commercial propositions to take out to market
  • Keep The Memo brand top-of-mind when client briefs are being sent out
  • Building pitch lists and proactively taking off-the-peg solutions out to market
  • Refining brand proposition on an ongoing basis
  • Develop solid revenue streams from leading UK media agencies
  • Exceed revenue targets across both UK and International campaigns


  • Digital media sales experience (with proof of your sales abilities)
  • A network of strong relationships and an excellent reputation with key media agency and clients
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience generating leads and closing new business
  • Experience achieving group goals; and not fazed by targets or metrics
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills and you’ll have an interest in future trends
  • Experience in generating revenue against personal targets (and love smashing them!)

About you

  • Able to spot opportunities, set up meetings with and present to key agency personnel (typically planners and buyers)
  • Able to support the creative process as required, solicit briefs, write proposals, negotiate prices, and book new business
  • Able to grow relationships with media agencies within allocated agency patch
  • A good communicator, clear, consistent and precise both internally and externally (emails, proposals, strong attention to detail)
  • Able to prioritise and deliver above and beyond the day-to-day role
