The Memo is up for its own BRITish Media Award

By Oliver Smith 23 February 2017
Summary

Our rising star.

After last night’s Brit Awards extravaganza, The Memo is in-line for our very own super-star award.

The Memo’s editor-in-chief Alex Wood has been shortlisted for one of the glitziest awards in the world of media.

The Rising Star award at the British Media Awards is one of the most coveted titles in the industry, with alumni like City A.M.’s Emma Haslett, responsible for reshaping her paper’s newsroom around digital.

Alex has not only built The Memo’s editorial and commercial teams since 2015, he’s also been responsible for raising a recent six-figure investment round to continue our expansion through 2017 and beyond.

Since launching, The Memo has been crowned with awards from The Drum’s Online Media Awards, the Good Web Guide awards, and the Lovies.

On 3 May, fingers crossed, we’ll have another award to add to the pile.
