A business that brews beer from clouds is one of England’s Future Leaders 2017

Creative England has named its 10 Future Leaders for 2017

England is a country full of colourful, creative, bonkers businesses… including one that brewed beer from clouds last year.

Today the not-for-profit Creative England organisation, set up to invests in and supports creative ideas, talent and businesses, celebrates these businesses in naming its 10 Future Leaders for 2017.

The list is described as “a showcase of the exceptional creative talent that will be central in this country’s next phase,” by Creative England CEO Caroline Norbury.

The Sky P.A. drone created by Strange Thoughts.

Strange Thoughts one such future leader, a media agency from Bristol that specialises in coming up with (bonkers) ideas for marketing stunts, including one which involved a drone collecting rainwater from clouds to turn into ‘Sky P.A.’ for Innis & Gunn brewers.

Bonkers and brilliant.

Film studio 104 Films is another, 104 is an inspiring UK production company for disabled filmmakers. Its work includes Notes on Blindness, which premiered at Sundance 2016, and Unrest which details Jen Brea’s battle to understand M.E.

The 10 Future Leaders were picked from a 50 company shortlist by a panel of judges including Simon Bird, the actor, writer and director known for playing Will in the Inbetweeners, and MediaCom UK CEO Josh Krichefski.
