Measuring time in hours is so last year.
Sundials. Clocks. The Apple Watch.
The way we tell the time has changed a lot over the years.
But our obsession with measuring time in hours and days has mostly remained the same. Until now.
Flyte, the company known for its magnetised floating products (including a levitating light bulb and planter) has just launched a new product on Kickstarter.
Its new Story clock features a small metal ball that can either hover over the hour of the day – or let you know where you’re at in your own pre-programmed ‘Journey’.
You can, for example, set a short-term timer to track the progress of a two hour meeting, or a long-term timer, to map months or year long periods – like a pregnancy.
In short, Story allows you to measure time according to what matters to you.
The device is already on sale for an early bird price of $349 (its full price will be around $499), and is expected to ship in November.
Will you give their unusual concept the time of day?
